So I saw a chance to steal my soul back from Jesus.

 

I've been friends with him lately

I asked him, he absolutely didn't mind. 

Lie

 Lying tongue

We thought it was our inheritance 

Chest of drawers packed with bribes

 

It goes from not being believed

To believing yourself a liar

 

And then it mutates into not caring

About truth

Every poet

Once believed

Searched, insisted.

 

The decadent dip ladles into fairyland

Thinking they owe nothing

 

Your debt

 

Is study.There are those who

Understand. 

For You've Never Had a Vision

 Had the trembling world placed in your hand

Or have you

Have you given up?

Swooned from the responsibility

Had failure to fight?

Ignored the holy riddle

That illumined wrong from right 

Had faith in the adventure

Life pours out so abundantly?

So humbly?

Did you dash out the brains of infants

So longing to stay true

to your argument?
